The high school reunion was lively and gay |
then we met with our friends for an Oakland zoo day |
Ty tested out his old hometown bases |
and we headed out east to old western places |
In Jackson we tested the waters so blue |
as we snapped our photos, the wildlife flew |
We hunted for food with hot plastic cards |
and hung out in front of old Mormon Row yards |
The bison go green on the wide open range |
while the elks run for headlights - we think it's quite strange |
The sunrise is vibrant on Grand Teton peaks |
but sunset's my weakness on rivers and creeks |
Turpin Meadow Ranch put our boys in a trot |
Both boys were proud of the trout they had caught |
Even big daddy liked fishing by fly |
but found his true happiness learning to tie |
The chipmunks were talented showing their mugs |
Mom was just happy with smiles and hugs |
We weren't so relaxed near the Yellowstone pools |
and faithful we were, feeling like fools |
We left the week rested but eager to spa |
At Sundance the art and food left us in awe |
This summer trip was real fun, hands down |
so we're starting to plan our next trip out of town |
